I don't think anyone will admit to having it, as farmers are obliged to remove the plant if it is growing on their land. Seems it is as invasive as Morning Glory in the warmer states, maybe someone in one of the South Asian or African communities might be able to help.

Not a good idea....this species is highly invasive and is a declared species in WA. It is an emerging weed species in many parts of Australia as it has the potential to smother native vegetation. It is spread by birds, humans (as it is used as a food source) and by the spread of plant material (tubers). Please people....do some research before planting species like this.
