Does anyone have this salvia? (forum)

Salvia quaranitica, delightful intense sky blue flowers with black calyces up to 3m . Clumping & invasive with rich green foliage, the honeyeaters love it! Frost kills the foliage, but it is one of the few salvias that has little black tubers to propagate from.
In spite of its faults it is always greatly admired when in flower & I would love some. S.quaranitica 'blue enigma' has bright green leaves & paler blue flowers with green calyces & grows to about 1.5m, beautiful clumping plant & I need some :) Willing to pay for some tubers!

Yep, Ive got S.guaranitica 'Tequila Blue' and 'Black and Blue'( has a black calyx).
'Tequila Blue' doesnt seem as invasive as the other.

OK Speedy, how about a packet of well washed tubers having short cut off stalks of both varieties? I am willing to pay handsomely, well not to ugly anyhow!

Jantina, I have a book entitled 'Success with unusual plants' by James Compton. it is English but has a note in it for North American readers, beautifully illustrated & well worth asking your local library to stock it. It has several salvias in it, but I had 'blue enigma' growing almost rampant in SW Vic. I am now trying to build my salvia collection up again. Best collector & seller in the East is Sue Templeton of Aubury. I got heaps from her & very reasonable.
