Doesn't it say on the packet?
And what are you putting it on? Some plants are hungrier than others.

Peetah, I usually throw a few big handfuls around my trees every 2 months (minimum) I think 4-6 weeks would be better (I'm just not that organised..) but u can usually see when they have broken down and need topping up.
I give my citrus an extra handful or two.
(this is for in-ground mature but small trees)

Same (Amanda).
When you can see that it's just about gone, time to throw some more about. Don't get sucked in by expensive versions of DL either. There are a few different brands around and if you check the nutrient contents, they are all pretty much the same (pelletised chook poo). Some brands are a lot cheaper than others though. I think I got a big bag of Rooster Booster last time and it was half the price of some other brands???

Agree Wazzbat - I worked out the price per kilo and rooster booster was cheaper and had the exact same nutrient levels. And the bag is very biodegradable too! lol.

Dont worry about that peetah, it would be pretty damn difficult to overfeed citrus! Im sure though that theres an enclosed spoon and quantitys on the packet (were talking about DL, right?).

Saw a bunnings ad last night, 25kg dynamic lifter for less than $20, which is not too bad. If you can get good fertilizer for less than $1 per kg, grab it :-)

Wazzbat, the Rooster Booster doesnt compare with the dynamic Lifter because the female hormones that are in D L are required to stabilise the nitrogen levels & make them available to the plants!
Thats pure B.S of course! Gotya :)
