I know they can grow and fruit in a big pot in a warm greenhouse. The warmer the better, otherwise they grow but wont fruit. Make sure the roots cant grow into the ground. I usually have all my greenhouse plants on racks above the soil to avoid that .

I was not sure if the plant can survive Melbourne's winter. Also, will it be able to fruit in Melbourne's climate ? Summer is pretty hot here but not sure if the plant needs a humid tropical or sub tropical climate to fruit.

With some other plants I have, I move them indoors during winter. I don't think my backyard is big enough to set up a greenhouse.

@Jakfruit, Yes, they are hardy plants. But its the Melbourne's climate I am worried about. I am not sure if we need some special care for them to fruit.

But the fruits are really worth the efforts, if we can somehow make it work. Its so delicious.
