I have a 60 foot pine that's not really on my property. It makes a huge mess in my pool and I'm sick of it. I would like to pour or do something that is not noticable. I would like to kill the tree and then I have a reason to cut it down because the "danger" of it falling on my house. Any ideas?

It could be a danger even now if a storm came along. You could get an arborist report and get them to remove it by a decision in a small claims court or whatever its called. It may be a free service. Just an idea. Or bore holes into roots below the soil level to escape detection. Put in some killer. Maybe sodium chlorate- someone else will know.

Trees usually fall in the opposite direction from the 'cut' or site of 'poisoning'.Dead roots on your side means they fall towards the side of secure roots and living wood unless there is a lean or wind blowing your way.A few stray roots on your side, access to the trunk,a drill and the right 'apple sauce' is all you need. You don't need to put it on the drip as several events works just as well.Name your poison? There are many choices but I suggest a stiff brew and a cocktail.

I've got a some kind of pine tree too, it's 7-8 metres tall and almost every day maori people asking if I"ll let them to cut it for $2000. Guess they have a family business here, but i'm not sure if I can trust them. How I can get an arborist report or what else I can do with the tree?

denise 1 were the ethnics kiwis as they tend to work cheap in the wide brown land? It cost me $500 per modest sized tree when I first got my place 10 years ago.Tree loppers live in mansions in upmarkets suburbs.
