Sick Peach

Hello,

My seedling peach tree grown from seed about 3/4 years old.

Produced some peaches (first bloom)last year but was way out of season by the time they grew & ripened (slow).

This year second bloom, it flowered & set fruit but all dropped & cannot see/spot any fruits (we had strong winds in sydney?), I noticed there is this opening (pictures attached) at the back bottom and braches near by are dried up no leaves, could you please provide some tips/help to cure my poor peach tree.
Thank you, Sorry for bad camera work.

Tree looks ok, the bad areas look like wounds, not sure what, physical damage or infection ??
I would cut the dead branches off, but leave a bit in front of the live growth.
Also I would paint the wounds, and cut surfaces with a copper oxy chloride paste.
(1part Cu Oxy Cl,+ 1 part milk powder + 1/2 part water, add more water if needed)

Seedling peaches can have v good fruit, but may ripen at different times to the original parent type

I would use a flashlight to look inside scratch bark for signs of borers/termites .The other thing it could have "dead arm virus"

Thank you for your reply, I will look out for these, it seems like something might be inside the outside bark is soft in this dead dark colour part.
