There are only wine grapes in colder areas . As Chambourcin is both a wine grape and a table grape it may be worth a try .no guarantees ,though.

Chris, Any variety of grape that is grown as a Sultana or Raisen. The green grapes are best for the table, & the Smaller you can grow them, the Better. Grapes are not meant to grow to the sizes that some peple today grow them, & the larger sizes Lose much of their flavour. .. Also, If you are selling them at the Markets in Melbourne, the people who Buy them will want the smaller grapes after trying both! .. Source:: My wife used to be a grower, before we met. I Do Hope This Helps a Bit.

It still gets a hot summer down there?
I would not call it a cold climate on the far NSW south coast.
(Mexico below that yes)
Silly ass comments aside, I just love a muscat taste. Is there a white muscat table grape that will grow on the northern rivers NSW? Or maybe another variety that is outstanding?

@M Nash - I don't know that region/climate at all. I just bought a Thomuscat or Muscat seedless which is a cross of Sultana (Thompson seedless) and a Muscat. Might be a variety for you also to check out.

Well M Nash,, Since you asked, Mildura does get sort of hot in summer. Summer temperatures here average around 38 - 40 degrees. We call 40 "quite warm". A hot day in Mildura us when the mercury reaches or goes above 45 degrees. But in contrast, the Winters here are freezing! Most Winter days & nights are Colder than down in Melbourne, even when they get the wind blowing from the snowfields! ... And I had to donate my warm clothes to the Op Shop. (I thought it was always hot here.) Soo, If a table grape is suited for Melbourne conditions,it will have no problems here.(except for the occaisional "Black Frost" that wipes out anything.
