According to this Wall Street Journal article, it is the best peach on earth and they don't have anything that comes close to it in the U.S.
I don't think we have it here either.

Actually the most famous peach in China is the Prunus persica f. compressa - what's known here as Angel Peach or Donut Peach. It was runner up at Best Peach prize in China this year. The Yangshan variety came 9th.

Legend has it that the immortals Sandy and Piggy in the story Monkey misbehaved during the Peach Banquet of the Mother of Heaven and was sent to Earth to serve the monk in seeking the buddhist sutra. Monkey himself had stolen this peach at the banquet, pursued, caught and trapped in a rock until he promised to go on the same journey. Those of you grew up watching Monkey on TV would be familiar with this story. A peach stone reputed kept as treasure of the palace in Chian was 5" long 4.7" wide; imagine the size of the peach.

OMG Monkey! I loved Monkey as a kid. My grandfather actually made me a replica of his staff and the 'crown of punishment' from a round brass towel holding ring, haha.
Re the doughnut peach, I have had unbelievably good ones, but alas those I grow do not meet that standard of quality, and I don't get great fruit set here in the subtropics.
