Denise I can highly recommend a visit to Tropical Fruit World in far Northern New South Wales. They will have everything that is ripe on display and for sale, a good source of seeds and you can taste/buy whatever is in season. It's just slightly inland from Kingscliff/Cudgen before you reach the Queensland border.

Tropical fruit world is awesome, I tasted Canistel there last year and it was just about the best fruit I've ever eaten. Got some seeds with the fruit and months later a couple little Canistel trees too :D

I recommend the "self-guided tour" at 7am before any staff arrive. Especially delightful is the fruit tasting --all gratis.
