About My Edible Backyard

Why Franc Love's Edible Plants

I am on deep sand which dries out quickly, I have a quarter acre backyard and spend most of my time trying to increase the organic content of my soil. Decomposition is rapid in the sand and a deep compost layer will be gone entirely in 12 months

I grow

Peach Mango, strawberry mango,  Meyer Lemon, Washington Navel Orange, Kaffir Lime, Tahitian Lime, Pomello, Nectarine (glengarry??), Avocado hass, 4 different edible bamboos, strawberries, chillies, flat leaf parsley, thyme, oregano, Thai and ordinary basil, lemongrass, galangal, opuntia cactus (fruit), granadilla passionfruit, monsteria deliciosa, grape.
