Mulberry - White Shahtoot (Seedling)

Fiona11's Edible Fruits
Update: 2293 days 15hrs

Comments: - Beautiful long pale green fruit, very vigorous grower and now over 2 metres tall.  We have sandy soil, old cropping country and the soil is pretty gutless.  The mulberries are holding their own at present.  We do not live at the location and they really only get attention such as mulching and fertilizer twice a year.  Lucky had summer rain over 2017 (this has helped).  Planted March 2015

Goji Berry - Shrub (Seedling) 8/10

Fiona11's Edible Fruits
Update: 2715 days 16hrs

Comments: -

Was sold as a type of Goji berry however have since found out it may be a distant cousin.  It hails from Mexico and places like that.  It is sometimes called Pale Wolfberry

Listed as wolfberry - Lycium Pallidum.  This is really drought tolerant!! and will grow between 1 to 3 metres in a thorny thicket.

It thrives on neglect and can get a bit crazy!  It has long sharp thorns on it and creates a haven for lizards to hide under.  Beautiful little mauve flowers followed by bright red berries that are sweet and tart.

Planted March 2015

Fruiting Months January and February

Fruit Harvest: 100 Fruit Per Year

The bees love this plant and it has flowers and berries on it all year round now. I gave it a severe trim in 2018

Dwarf Mulberry - Red Shahtoot (Seedling)

Fiona11's Edible Fruits
Update: 2715 days 16hrs

Comments: - Dwarf Red Shahtoot - March 2016.  It has doubled its height since planting last year, when planted it was really just a stick.  Maybe not as vigorous as the other mulberries but going steady.  Fruit late 2017 were just lovely.  Out of the Shatoots this one is my favorite

Blueberry Burst 8/10

Loves Fruit Trees's Edible Fruits
Update: 3786 days 19hrs

Comments: - I just love my new Blueberry plants. I bought 2 Blueberry Burst from Bunnings before I went interstate for a few days - I could not wait!  When I heard they are evergreen and bred for Australian gardeners, I just had to try them. Deciding at prsesent which variety I will choose next. My BB is loaded with flowers, and I don't want to take them off - we should do that for the strength of the plant. I may leave berries on one of them and compare the plants. Not sure if I will use different potting mix for each. They will be growing in Pots.

Planted: 2015

Growing: In a Pot

Pollination: Self Pollination

Fertiliser or Organics Used: SOILCHARGE

Pest Control: ECO-OIL

Question: Would you recommend trying Peatmoss and Garden Sand for one of these plants if I want to venture? Peatmoss for acid and moisture and Sand for draining. Blueberry likes moisure but not wet feet and I'm planting them in Pots.
