Mango - Valencia Pride (Grafted) 7/10Bloodanddreams 's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2628 days 10hrs Comments: - Has formed fruit, but knocked off by dog, child birds or wind. Tried various watering strategies and seemed to have found happy medium now. Will concentrate on branch growth and shape. Needs more water than I thought. Is happy now. Have planted Florigon and Honey nearby. Am running out of room. I was never allowed Mangoes as a child (NZ), so I consider them to be a quintessential part of the Australian summer experience. To be self sufficient in mangoes! MANGO - NAM DOC MAI Mangifera indica 10/10Danny N1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 3005 days 16hrs Comments: - Always wanted a mango tree, unfortunatley i live in Adelaide and so need a more cold tolerant variety- so bought this MANGO - NAM DOC MAI Mangifera indica from Daley's - it is a grafted variety from Daley's so i hope to see fruit on the tree sooner than if grown from seed, but all in all it is performing very well and as you can see it has just finished putting out a new flush of growth ( Mango is 10 weeks old), i also have another species of mango (R2E2) i think thats the name ...not sure but it's also doing very well in the Adelaide climate. Planted: 2015 Height 3 Feet Growing: In a Pot Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Full Sun Pollination: No Fertiliser or Organics Used: Seasol - Fortnightly Pest Control: No Pest thus far - fingers crossed. Organic Status:Organic Question: Is there anyone else in Adelaide growing Mango's with any sucess?. be nice to know : P Was this review helpful? Dwarf Mango - Irwin 10/10Loves Fruit Trees's Edible FruitsUpdate: 3039 days 18hrs Comments: - I love my little Mango Tree__ She is simply gorgeous! She came 2 weeks before Spring 2015 so carefully packed. She travelled very well and is still happy. She has four lots of leaves now and I would love to get another one. I am growing all Dwarf Fruit Trees in 51cm Green Pots. If I shift, I can take them with me. And it is possible to have a Mini Orchard this way plus more variety. I will place a picture here early next year. I am using SoilCharge Organic Fertilizer for my fruit trees and veges.....it has naturally occurring trace elements and you can use it once a month instead of once each season. I like that idea better. I also have a special water filter that clicks onto the garden hose - it omits chlorine so your plants can benefit more from the water. Planted: 2015 Growing: In a Pot Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Full Sun Fertiliser or Organics Used: SoilCharge Pest Control: ECO-OIL As a precaution. Organic Status:Organic Was this review helpful?
