Dwarf Mandarin 10/10 M's Edible FruitsUpdate: 5750 days 4hrs Comments: - I only purchased my mandarine tree from Daleys a year ago. I wasnt very confident when it arrived as it was in a little box. It has grown incredibly fast, looks magnificent and we have even had a lovely mandarin which is sweet and delicious. Fruiting Months August Planted: 2009 Height 1.5 metres Growing: In a Pot Qty: 1 Fruit Harvest: 2 Fruit Per Year First Fruited: 1 Years from purchase in pot Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Water Given in: Winter Pruned By: 10% in Pollination: No Fertiliser or Organics Used: white oil, snail bait When I Fertilise: Yearly Organic Status:Pesticides Used Question: What can i do to stop the leaves curling and dropping like the other citrus trees I have in the garden? I really dont want to use pesticides but I think we have a few problems: somethings eating the leaves; and something is causing the leaves to curl and drop off. Was this review helpful? Dwarf Mandarin (Grafted) 2/10 Paulngen's Edible FruitsUpdate: 6124 days 19hrs Comments: - 2nd year in pot. Re-potted this year as plant does not seem to be growing much - upwards a little but not spreading. However, roots are still shallow so does not appear to be pot-bound. Some flowers last year, no fruit. Leaf-miner seems to be a problem as all young leaves are affected and turn curly. I have been cutting them off - probably explains why the plant is not growing :-). This year I have decided to spray eco-oil at every single leaf bud that I see. Planted: 2007 Height 1.2 metres Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Full Sun Fertiliser or Organics Used: citrus food, slow-realease for pots When I Fertilise: Spring Pest Control: Leaf miner a problem (see above). Also little caterpillars - controlled by squashing method as often as I see them. Organic Status:Organic Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report 3 of 6 people found this review useful |
