Orange - Cara Cara Blood Navel

A red fleshed navel, this variety was discovered in Venezuela in 1976. It has pink to red flesh similar to Star Ruby grapefruit. In South Africa it matures slightly earlier than Washington navel. It is sweet and the fruit often grows quite large. It is also a seedless variety that looks fantastic. The fruit is very large and is becoming a favourite in taste all around Australia. Quickly becoming the Blood Orange Tree to choose.

A small free fruiting tree suitable for home gardens. Ripe fruit has sweet creamy textured pulp with fewer seeds. Pick as mature firm fruit and ripen at room temperature. Plant in sunny well drained position protected from hot dry winds. Keep free from frosty areas. High humidity during flowering promotes fruit set. Mulch tree and prune tree in Spring to open vase shape. Fertilize well after fruit set with organic fertilizer. Regular watering commencing at flowering to harvest is important. Dwarf Avocado - Lamb Hass (A)

Larger and rounder than most other avocado varieties. It has a very dark, almost black skin that only gets darker as it ripens. The flesh is a pale green colour with a creamier consistency than the more common Hass and it has a slightly nutty and creamy taste. It has a medium-sized seed. Lamb Hass is a smaller tree that bears more fruit and it matures later in the season than regular Hass avocados. The symmetrical fruit has pebbly skin with green flecks. This variety has Plant Breeder Rights over it.
Brazilian Cherry - Black Beauty

This selection of Brazilian Cherry ripens to a black colour with exceptional flavour. A highly ornamental shrub with spreading branches and aromatic foliage. Refrigeration enhances the flavour.
