Bushy tree to 30m with a sparse canopy.The trunk has smooth grey brown bark.The blue-black fruit are oval, the fruit are bird attracting and the tree is an excellent butterfly host. This is a fast growing pioneer species.

Persimmon - Fuyu (NA)

The fruit is large and flat, orange-red in colour with a sweet, mild flavour. Semi-dwarf variety. Besides producing delicious fruit Persimmons are highly ornamental with the beautiful autumn foliage. Non astringent, so can be eaten when still hard.

Macadamia Bush Nut

This was the first Australian native food plant to be grown by non-indigenous Australians as a commercial crop. Genetic diversity of this valuable nut species has been reduced significantly through land clearing. Very hardy and easily grown along most of Australia's east coast and even down into Victoria.
