This is because every part of the jackfruit tree is useful. Unripe jackfruit can be cooked with chicken, fish and eggs, and ripe ones can be eaten as-is or processed into drinks, jam, jelly or candy. The same applies to other parts of the tree such as the skin, leaves, flowers, wood and latex which have their own uses and benefits.
