Cherry 2 way - Minnie Royal - Royal Lee

$99.00 ($99.00-$120.00 choose a size)

This new low-chill multi grafted Cherry has 2 varieties ( Minnie Royal and Royal Lee ) grafted onto the same plant. Ideal for limited space and both varieties can cross pollinate each other. These 2 new Low Chill Cherry varieties should make it possible to grow Cherries alongside subtropical fruits in warmer climates with only 400 chill hours. According to Tom Spellman from Dave Wilsons Nursery in California these 2 cherry selections have proven to be winners. "Southwestern fruit gardeners can finally celebrate the introductions of two new very-low-chill sweet cherries. Minnie Royal and its companion Royal Lee have proven themselves to be low chill adaptable. In fact, they may not require any chill at all. Minnie Royal is a medium to large size red cherry with a firm texture and superior flavour. Fruit begins to ripen in early November and holds well on the tree into December. The tree is very productive and sets heavy crops in southern California. We estimate the chill requirement at 200 to 300 hours, but some have produced with less than 100 hours. A Zaiger introduction, pollinated by Royal Lee."

Sapodilla - Tropical

$99.00 ($99.00-$109.00 choose a size)

A Singapore variety to 4m tall. Flavour is very sweet like brown sugar with a less gritty texture than other varieties. Small to medium fruit size can depend on size of the crop, with light crops occurring. Sapodillas are highly prized in Asia with their sweet, brown-sugar, cinnamon flavoured fruit.

Cherimoya - White

$79.00

Cherimoya is a very heavy cropper of large fruit with juicy flesh that can be a little gritty just below the skin. The unique flavours suggests a hint of mango-papaya. A pleasure to eat due to its low seed count. A commercial favourite in California. Because of it's flavour many people have nicknamed it the "Queen of Fruits" because it's flavour is so much better than other custard apples. The foliage is delicate on young trees, and our potted plants are known for their older leaves to turn yellow and drop during transport to conserve energy. This is not a problem long term. With care and acclimatisation they will bounce back

Green Sapote

$79.00 ($79.00-$99.00 choose a size)

A close relative of the Mamey Sapote but more compact and cold hardy. The green fruit turns to gold when ripe and has a much superior, sweeter flavour to the Mamey. Seeds can be roasted and eaten. Good drainage is essential.
