A fast growing tree that produces small raisin like fruit stalks which can be eaten fresh, cooked or dried. Originally from Iraq, Khadrawy dates are a much smaller date that has a high moisture content, less sugar, and a milder flavour than the popular Medjool dates. They are a dark mahogany colour with dry, flaky, paper-like skin.
