The flesh is sweet and tastes very smooth and aromatic. A very attractive tropical tree, leaves green above and gold underneath. Not suitable for temperate climates.

Prunes well and is adaptive to many soil types. It is well suited to gardens similar in climate to it's native East Coast range and regular trimming after flowering give the bush a more compact structure. Works well as a hedge or screen.
