Woke up to 4 degrees this morning. 10 degrees inside! eek!
I was thinking to myself 'geez, I gotta move back up to Mackay' - obviously not to where you live Brendan!
I'm off to Canberra this afternoon where it got to -5 last night. Luckily its only for one night!

I'm convinced my area is reasonably protected from the extremes. Here's a record of the past week, nothing under +5

The weather has been reasonably kind here.
No frost yet, not that I'm expecting any. This graph is for the last 7 days.

With the cold, i am hopeful of getting some good chill hours to make cherry possible in 'temperate' brisbane. But so far they are still holding green leaves.
Otherwise, might use it for fire wood, lol. Yes i am going to add CO2 into the atmosphere, i call it direct action!

Yes, being a gardener gives you a positive angle on cold snaps. Maybe it will make the cabbage and parsnips taste better. No way is this week going to change the long term downward trend in chill hours in Brisvegas though.
