Hi Elizabeth, my parents used to grow date palms at Slade Point, so they 'should' grow at Andergrove?

Growing a date palm and actually getting fruit are two different things! They grow well in Perth, but don't have fruit.

Date palms are seperate male and female trees, (probably some also hermaphrodite).
Some non fruiting trees could be male or isolated female without pollinator nearby.
