Julie says... I've never heard of it, but some varieties of fruit are only available commercially. In that case, you would have to buy huge amounts of cuttings, and it is illegal for the grower to sell them (the cuttings). I hope that is not the case, but I know either Flame seedless or Red Globe are not available to the public. Good luck with your search (and try Google). | About the Author Julie Roleystone 14th February 2009 5:20pm #UserID: 154 Posts: 1842 View All Julie's Edible Fruit Trees |

Shaun says... Midnight Beauty seedless is similar to Beauty sedless (a variety I wanted to get but don't have rooms for 10 canes) .... a truly black seedless grape. The minimum that you could buy is 10 canes, and if I remember correctly, it is available only once a year. In some years, cane are not offered for sale at all. Look up the Viticulture Board of WA (somewhere near Margaret River ?) and they will advise you. | About the Author WA / Perth 15th February 2009 2:15am #UserID: 0 Posts: View All 's Edible Fruit Trees |

Helor says... hmmm...anyone interested in buying some of these vines but don't need all 10? found the grapes in woolies and they are yum! would love to be able to grow them myself. I'm located in Perth...so I guess they'd have to be located somewhere in WA...I'm willing to travel outside of Perth to pick them up too | About the Author helor Parkwood 26th January 2010 8:21pm #UserID: 3082 Posts: 9 View All helor's Edible Fruit Trees |

Julie says... I would like one too, if they are as good as you say. Seems we might be able to come up with enough people to buy ten - don't know about the logistics of collecting and paying for them. I guess the same as sharing a Daley's order, which I haven't done. How does it work? Shaun, did you come up with a price? | About the Author Julie Roleystone WA 23rd May 2010 6:36pm #UserID: 154 Posts: 1842 View All Julie's Edible Fruit Trees |

Julie says... Charles, I think it is just too late to place an order - they may not have been pruned yet. The date was 30th April from memory. I guess they need to know well beforehand how many are wanted. Let's hope someone remembers in time next year and reminds us all. We would need to start getting organised sometime in March I think. | About the Author Roleystone WA 27th May 2010 6:37pm #UserID: 0 Posts: View All 's Edible Fruit Trees |

Helor says... doh...sorry, I haven't checked back here...for some reason the forums only just sent me and email notification that there's been replies. Where did you go to find out about ordering the canes Julie? I'm still interested for next year. Will be good actually as it will be just in time to move into the house I'm building | About the Author helor Parkwood 22nd June 2010 3:02pm #UserID: 3082 Posts: 9 View All helor's Edible Fruit Trees |

Shaun says... Sorry, I was away for a while, and did not see the latest posts in here. Julie, the answer to your question and Helors question can be found in my post for Beauty Seedless forim https://www.daleysfruit.com.au/forum/beauty-seedless-grape-vines/ I am interested in Midnight Beauty Seedless too. Please count me in for 1 or 2 canes next year when it is time to place the order. So, it seems that we now have enough people to share the 'bunble of 10 canes'. I was looking for Beauty Seedless but Midnight Beauty Seedless will be OK too. At this stage, we should get co-ordinated and someone should have the email (and phone?) contact of all interested parties. Any volunteer for the task, please? | About the Author Shaun WA / Perth 28th June 2010 4:02am #UserID: 730 Posts: 49 View All Shaun's Edible Fruit Trees |

Dirk says... Hi! Have just read all the stuff above. I had the same problem - found midnight beauty grapes at woolies and they are so yummi! It's time to remind everyone to order a bunch of canes and I'd be in for it with 2-3! I'd also be happy to organise it all, if you like. I'd just need the details where to get them? | About the Author Dirk South Australia 11th January 2011 9:07am #UserID: 4772 Posts: 1 View All Dirk's Edible Fruit Trees |

Brad says... most unfortunately I've been told by those responsible in Australia that only licensed commercial growers can have midnight beauty. http://www.sun-world.com/Grapes#MIDNIGHT_BEAUTY Daniel, Shaun Julie etc - the list mentioned in the other thread https://www.daleysfruit.com.au/forum/beauty-seedless-grape-vines/) does not have midnight beauty in it now. it does have beauty seedless and maroo (marroo). maybe this is what julie saw / maybe they changed it and we missed out? Or did I miss something? | About the Author Brad2 G hill,Perth 14th January 2011 7:11pm #UserID: 2323 Posts: 762 View All Brad2's Edible Fruit Trees |

John Mc says... Hi Bobby, To be fair, this is a forum hosted at no cost to us by the generous people at Daley's. You may be stepping on their toes by offering propagating material here for sale under their noses. May I suggest contacting Daley's directly. We do the odd swap between members here but nothing to impact Daley's bottom line. | About the Author JohnMc1 8th June 2011 7:12pm #UserID: 2743 Posts: 2043 View All JohnMc1's Edible Fruit Trees |

helor says... To the last few posters looking for Midnight Beauty - if you go back through the thread you'll find that we looked into sourcing canes and were told that its only available to licensed commercial growers :( I managed to find a Maroo plant at Bunnings the other day though, and hoping its as sweet and tasty as the Midnight Beauty! | About the Author helor Perth WA 28th November 2012 1:16pm #UserID: 3082 Posts: 9 View All helor's Edible Fruit Trees |

grape_ape says... This is a bit of an old thread but I'll post to who ever is still looking for Midnight Beauties. They are only in season between June-Sept and you can buy these at Costco. This is kind of funny, the label says they come from an Asexual reproduction of patented plants from SunWorld. Does that mean they are celebrate? WTF? Hmmm, i don't know? These grapes are freakin huge so maybe it means they are genetically altered? BJ says... Grape ape, asexual reproduction means they are propagated by cutting in this case. Sexual reproduction means growing from seed, which would mean the seedling would be different than the parent and therefore not Midnight Beauty. Other forms of asexual reproduction include marcot, grafting, tissue culture, truncheon, layering, etc... | About the Author Theposterformerlyknownas Brisbane 21st June 2013 9:46pm #UserID: 3270 Posts: 1552 View All Theposterformerlyknownas's Edible Fruit Trees |
