I live in the Southern Flinders Ranges and am wondering what variety to purchase for this area. Anyone with any knowledge on this out there?

First choice is Eremocitrus, aka Citrus glauca, aka desert lime. Might even be some wild around your area. If you can supply extra water and maybe a bit of shelter, fingerlimes(australasica) and roundlimes(australis)should be ok, but they dont like frost and being exposed direct to extreme heat. There are many cultivars of Finger lime The other Microcitrus species should be fine if sheltered. The hybrids blood lime and sunrise lime should be ok to grow, but fruit isnt as great as the hype.
A lot of the research on Microcitrus was done in Mildura, with irrigation.
