For those that might be interested, I am in the process of starting a fig & fruit forum. By no means am I suggesting it should replace Daley's, which is great but this new forum is designed to be a bit more user friendly and has a board where you can trade etc. Have a look, join up if you like and any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think it's a great idea. I'm on forums everywhere and I pretty sure there can't be too many forums. As with other forums, I check them all at least once a day so I'm fairly sure no one is going to lose traffic on any particular site. People who are interested in any gardening topic will follow any quality site to further their knowledge. Good luck.

Why does the forum have such an emphasis on figs? Might kinda seem exclusive and not appeal to potential new members...

Gimme, as far as I know there is no Australian fig forum but there are a couple of tropical fruit forums. There are quite a few figgers here that find the figs4fun too USA orientated and the seasons throw things out of whack a little. I was thinking of moving the figs board below the tropical board anyway but didn't think it was a big deal. Initially it was going to be just for figs but after suggestions etc I have added the other fruit sections. Besides, most members that have joined are tropical fruit growers. No real emphasis on figs apart from the the word 'fig' in the title name of the forum (along with 'fruit') and the header photo anyway. This forum is called the 'Daley's Fruit Tree forum' yet we still discuss anything garden related so hopefully it will work as well.
