jham66 starts with ... Hi, My wife and I have been trying to find a tree suitable for planting as a screening tree. We don't mind if it is fruiting or not, but would like it to attract wildlife and preferably bees. It needs to be quite dense, grow to 5m, be quite wide also (there is a powerline near by). We are in a subtropical climate and rarely see frost. Needs to be relatively fast growing, evergreen and drought hardy would be a bonus. We have clay soil. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance 😁 | About the Author jham66 Ipswich 15th September 2019 1:57pm #UserID: 20890 Posts: 2 View All jham66's Edible Fruit Trees |

jham66 says... Ok, thanks. I have some plants to look into. I do have a grumichama in a wicking barrel, I could move that one out, but it has been slow growing! The council offered a 200L plant of my choosing for the spot, after they had to remove a tree from the front of our property for a bike path. So I may be able to get something that has had a bit of a head start. | About the Author jham66 Ipswich 17th September 2019 7:05pm #UserID: 20890 Posts: 2 View All jham66's Edible Fruit Trees |
