For what it's worth, I'm 33° south, on the other side of the continent with two 4/5yo Soursop's growing well but slowly. I'm not expecting any fruit soon, but at least I know they survive my climate. Maybe as they get larger/more mature? Na, just dreaming.

John the get fruit in parts of Florida that have cold snaps lower than what you get so it could happen.I had seeds of brown seeded brazil giants and gave the seedlings away. Maybe I should have planted one and I may get more seeds.

sternus it is enough to make an Annona enthusiast soppy. The Taiwan sugar apple 'big eyes',the red genova ilama, the sarteneja bullocks heart and Duguetias are the deep end of the Annona gene pool and would be good to have here.

As someone who isn't a big annona fan, I believe that sugar apples don't get enough love. If I had to choose, I'd pretty much go a sugar apple over anything apart from Rollinia. I personally think that sugar apples are nicer tasting than cherimoya, but the texture isn't as good.
