In addition to Dolly's question, has anyone tasted a royal red and how would you rate it?

I haven't seen any Royal Red mango on sale, how did you managed to get some, if you wouldn't mind me asking.
The reason is, i was also thinking of getting a tree but would like to know if it tasted half decent first. As I wasn't too smart earlier on and got some dud varieties. LOL
I also take it it's polyembryonic?

They have a wonderful full red colour and as i said before to me had a faint strawberry taste, stringless and firm

thanks for the info, I am tempted to give it a go. I just hope it tasted better than honey gold, despite the hype, I just had one that is sour and bitter.

I had one last night David and quite enjoyed it.There was something missing in the flavour still and I couldn't put my finger on it.

I actually enjoy the Honey Gold - especially being melt in your mouth and no fibre without being over-ripe. Guess the tang is a personal preference. Mike, perhaps it's the lack of 'spice' we're used to in KP?

Luckily I checked the trading hours just before I was ready to leave house at 8. Close at 7 pm on Thu night trading! Also won't be around this weekend. Maybe it's not meant to be :(
