Lychee - Kwai May Pink (B3) (Grafted) 10/10 Kate816's Edible FruitsUpdate: 1180 days 7hrs Comments: - This lychee is doing awesome in the ground. Turns out they like slightly acidic soil, so it's been planted next to our blueberry hedge to take advantage of the work already done to acidify that area. It suffered shock and stress when we first planted it, lost all its leaves and appeared dormant over Christmas, however it's green, leafy, happy and thriving now. Still too little t produce, but it attempted to fruit last year (kept our local bees happy!) but dropped all its fruit. Maybe this year or next year we will get a harvest but, even if not, patience is key. Height 1 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 First Fruited: 6 Months from Purchase in Pot Sun/Shade: Full Sun Pollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Dynamic lifter When I Fertilise: Yearly Was this review helpful? Nectarine - White Satin (Grafted) 10/10 Kate816's Edible FruitsUpdate: 1180 days 8hrs Comments: - This has been grafted to a tree as a "double graft" with an Angel peach. Both species do not require a cross-pollinating partner, so this was simply a space-saving way to cram more food types into the yard. I am so happy with it! It flowered and "fruited" already technically, but dropped all its fruit as it really is far too young and small to be bearing fruit. However it did everything perfectly, so maybe this year or next year we will start to see the pay off and its "practice run" kept the local bees happy. Still in a large grow pot while we work out where to install it! Height 1.5 metres Growing: In a Pot Qty: 1 First Fruited: 6 Months from Purchase in Pot Sun/Shade: Full Sun Pollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Dynamic lifter When I Fertilise: Yearly Was this review helpful? Passionfruit - Panama Perfection 10/10 Kate816's Edible FruitsUpdate: 1180 days 8hrs Comments: - Absolutely thriving, holy smokes, I planted this in a raised bed with three other passionfruit varieties thinking "see how they go", bought them on clearance in poor health. Well. Now they are overtaking the fence and so very bushy and dense and healthy. A much prettier sight than the bare wire fence. We are thrilled. So easy to grow! Blueberry - Brightwell (Cutting) 4/10 Kate816's Edible FruitsUpdate: 1180 days 9hrs Comments: - struggling with this one, yet all of my other blueberries are thriving. I don't get it. Planted: 2023 Height 0.5 metres Growing: In a Pot Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Water Given in: Spring SpringPollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Dynamic lifter When I Fertilise: Yearly Question: Any idea why this one is so unhappy? We have 9 blueberries (one each of Misty, Biloxi, Sharpeblue, OB1, Sunshine, Gulf, Burst, Kisses, and Brightwell) but this one all the leaves curles and dropped and it's just twigs now. Same conditions, potted, same soil mix (Searles Peat 80 mixed with peat moss and a seasol drink when potted then fertilised with dunamic lifter and mulched with peat moss). Was this review helpful?
