Cenarrhenes nitida 'Native Plum'Linton's Edible FruitsUpdate: 1314 days 3hrs Comments: - Cenarrhenes nitida 'Port Arthur Plum' A native of Tasmania, it's a large bush or small tree that produces a fleshy plum-like fruit. Unsure of how long they take to reach fruiting age. The plant is intolerant of phosphate so I have avoided giving it any fertiliser. Seems to be growing well so far in a semi-shaded position.

Chinese Bird Plum (Cutting)Linton's Edible FruitsUpdate: 1410 days 3hrs Comments: - Although sometimes reported as deciduous, this plant has remained evergreen throughout Winter with continuous new flushes of growth . The small purple-black fruits are commonly eaten in China and some say that the leaves also have a plum scent. Easy to grow in Melbourne with little care required. Will be great if it can fruit here as it is another highly underutilised fruit.
