Lemons (Grafted) 10/10 Amanda's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2562 days 20hrs Comments: - Every back yard needs a lemon tree so there's not much more to say really! We have had problems with the Dwarf range here - due to rootstocks - so I have replanted with full size trees now. We have Lisbon lemon which does great - thorny, but nice lemons. Myer...a mild lemon and Eureka - a proper acidic lemon. Planted: 2012 Height 3 metres Growing: In the Ground Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Pollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Balanced Acid lovers, little and often (summer) slow release organic chook manure pellets (a little in winter/when dormant) sulphur in spring, iron sulphate in winter or as required. Lots a Lemon (Grafted) 7/10Itdepends1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 6117 days 17hrs Comments: - Periodic white oil sprays required to control leaf miner when growth flushes start in spring and autumn. No gall wasp in my area thankfully. Purchased from local Bunnings in mid 2008. Growing in a 50x50cm pot. Very impressed with the ability of this plant to produce profuse quantities of fruit in a compact bush. The display plant I saw at a nursery in Perth (in a pot) had more lemons visible than leaves. Only downside is that the lemons are relatively sweet compared to Eureka and Lisbon (as the Lotsa Lemon is a Meyer- a lemon/orange cross). Planted: 2008 Height 15 Centimetres Growing: In a Pot Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Pollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Slow release When I Fertilise: Spring Pest Control: White oil spray spring/autumn when leaf miner is active Question:

Lemon - Eureka (Grafted) BJ11_old_address's Edible FruitsUpdate: 5125 days 19hrs Comments: - Everyone needs a true lemon in their garden! This little guy should be vigorous, and hopefully thorn free. I'm trying to grow it as part of a citrus hedge. It hasn't enjoyed the transplant despite the good soil. The Eureka had to get moved in Jan 2012. It was growing faster than I ever anticipated and needed tip pruning every weekend. It has grown over 50cm in less than 6 months despite regular pruning. It has been relocated to where it can grow up taller away from the house. Its width will have to be managed as it is against a fence, but it can still spread and grow up. May 2012 - my attempts to turn this into a hedge failed. It is growing rapidly and seems very content in its current location at the edge of the vegetable garden! Planted: 2011 Height 1.5 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Water Given in: Spring Pollination: Cross Pollination Was this review helpful? Lemon - Eureka (Grafted) 8/10 Amanda19's Edible FruitsUpdate: 5653 days 20hrs Comments: - First year in...needs flowers removed. Easy to grow. Powering along Aug 2010: flowering, fruiting - doing what it does. It has a more intense lemon flavour than the Meyer and better for that lemon "tang" in cooking. Lemon - Eureka 8/10 Itdepends1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 6117 days 17hrs Comments: - The same as my orange tree- this took quite a while to get established but really took off once the vegetable garden was extended and it effectively "moved" from being in the lawn to being in the vege garden. Not suprising really- citrus have very shallow root systems and the grass competes with them a lot. Has had reasonable crops all year and its rare that I don't have lemons hanging on the tree. Pruning on this tree is mainly to avoid having it take over too much of the vege garden. Planted: 2003 Height 2.5 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 Fruit Harvest: 10 kilograms per Year First Fruited: 3 Years from purchase in pot Sun/Shade: Full Sun Water Given in: Spring Pruned By: 10% in Spring Pollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Fruit and Citrus fertilizer When I Fertilise: Spring Pest Control: White oil spray spring/autumn during growth flushes for leaf miner Organic Status:Pesticides Used Was this review helpful? Lemon - Eureka (Grafted) 8/10 3's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4998 days 2hrs Comments: - This tree was purchased from a hardware store closing down sale for a bargain price. It has held on through suspected neglect at the hardware store, confirmed neglect on my roasting west-facing courtyard, several moves, and spending the last six months in a dark and forgotten corner of the yard. Have finally found a permanent place for it in the garden and it is now getting full sun, retic and lots of seasol. It is holding its fruit for the first time and I hope to finally harvest a lemon this sumer!
