Comments: - Mini meyer lemon variety that is a trooper.  Just many lemons from it as my normal meyer lemon.  Lemons are very differet though.  Sweet &awesome.

I have five clumps of this at various spots in the garden. Looking forward to having my own lemongrass for cooking.

Oct 2010 : The five clumps look all brown and dry after winter. The stalks do not look fat enough for harvesting after one year in the ground.

Comments: - Rhus integrifolia is an extremely drought tolerant plant native to California. While a few Rhus species can be used to make lemonade, R. integrifolia is the only true Lemonade Berry. It produces pink berries that are steeped in water to make a refreshing lemonade flavoured drink.The roasted berries can be used as a coffee substitute.

Seedling I raised in 1988 and transplanted from original planting site in 2008.

Still hasn't frutied and I suspect  that it may need another plant for cross pollination.

Looking for anyone who has this species  and willing to swap divisions or seedlings.

Question:

Have I got a dud?  I bought my first meyer as a small bush and has been planted into large pot and grown steadily for three years. Is large and bushy and attractive although leaves yellow at the moment.  BUT this Meyer has THORNS!!!! and not one flower at all in 3 years.

Although this was bought as a dwarf meyer (not from Daleys), I think it is too sour to be a Meyer. It is on its own roots and is only 1m tall but bears heavily. It is a great fruit tree.
