Dwarf Mulberry - Red Shahtoot

Much more compact in growth habit than the King White Shahtoot. These delicious sweet fruits can reach 10cm in length. Ideal for back yards and we consider it a must have fruit tree for the back yard. The best way to eat mulberries is fresh from the tree. If some should make it to the kitchen bench they make excellent pies, jams, wines and sauces. Multiple crops are possible by pruning directly after your first crop. Suitable for most regions of Australia, although it can be susceptible to damage from late frosts. The red shahtoot is ideal for growing in pots and containers due to it small growing habit and it is ideal for school gardens as it does not produce fruits that stain and the sweet fruits are very appealing to children. This variety is best suited to warm subtropical climates and does not perform well in temperate climate where it tends to drop their fruit.

A recently imported Pummelo from Vietnam, where it is a very popular seedless variety. Pummelos are similar to grapefruits, but larger and much sweeter. Most adaptable citrus to tropical areas. Grows very well in subtropical climates too- like we have here at Daleys in Kyogle. Very large fruits!
Canistel - Kona

Kona has green skin with bright yellow flesh. It is sweet and similar to a canistel but with a distinctive aftertaste. The fruits are round or oval and very popular in South America when they are dried and powdered. Kona has a dry flesh. They can be blended into a delicious milkshake tasting of rum and raisin and caramel.

The female Kerman Pistachio is popular in commercial production and has good flavour with a nice green colour to the kernel. Late blooming, biennial heavy producer. Prefers a longer growing season Pistachio trees are best suited to areas with cold winters and hot dry summers, requiring 1000 hours below 7.5 degrees in the winter. Summer and autumn need to be dry to prevent fungal problems. Pistachios are dioecious meaning male and females flowers are produced on separate trees, one of each will be required for fruit set. Spreading habit, wider than it is tall. Pistachios tend toward biennial cropping, meaning they alternately bear lots of nuts one year, then very little the following year
