Removed this one as I didn't like the tree or the fruit much. Get's huge and looks ugly if pruned. Didn't handle storms well. Fruit inspid, I thought. Very dissapointing tree.

Mulberry - Hicks Fancy

Hicks Fancy do NOT grow in places where you get frosts in October. All the buds go black an fall off. Then the tree dies. English Mulberry does not.

This is a compact mulberry tree- 4mx4m so we've been able to plant it easily into our suburban front yard!

LYNBROOK, VIC, Australia

Fruited within its 1st year of planting, as a bare rooted tree. Only a handful, which is bit disappointing. 1 of the branches died but the other is growing well. This is a early season variety. No hassle tree. Doesnt like we feet.Prune in winter.

I put it in for my 5 pet hens and the wild birds. It is amazing and has fruit here on the Sunshine Coast nearly all year and the hens get so excited when I pluck the fruit to feed to them. It has been in now for about 3 years and survived their digging...
