Blueberry - Brightwell (Cutting) 4/10 Kate816's Edible FruitsUpdate: 1175 days 23hrs Comments: - struggling with this one, yet all of my other blueberries are thriving. I don't get it. Planted: 2023 Height 0.5 metres Growing: In a Pot Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Water Given in: Spring SpringPollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Dynamic lifter When I Fertilise: Yearly Question: Any idea why this one is so unhappy? We have 9 blueberries (one each of Misty, Biloxi, Sharpeblue, OB1, Sunshine, Gulf, Burst, Kisses, and Brightwell) but this one all the leaves curles and dropped and it's just twigs now. Same conditions, potted, same soil mix (Searles Peat 80 mixed with peat moss and a seasol drink when potted then fertilised with dunamic lifter and mulched with peat moss). Was this review helpful? Blueberry - Biloxi (Cutting) 1010501's Edible FruitsUpdate: 1704 days 16hrs Comments: - Plant arrived in Feb 2020 in great condition with soil still damp. Will plant this into a pot after 1-2 weeks outside and provide updates. Planted in Rose, Gardenia, Azalea and Camellia potting mix - after a few weeks had some trouble with leaves turning yellow with green veins and browing of leaf tips. pH testing showed the soil had a neutral pH close to 7. Added some urea to the soil and have gradually seen improvment in the leaves. Flower buds forming May 2020. Jan 2021 after flowering and fruiting (much less prolifically than blueberry burst & kisses), the plant unfortunately died - likely a combination of inconsistent watering over a hot summer & ?soil pH too high. Planted: 2020 Growing: In a Pot Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Pollination: Cross Pollination Cross Pollinator Variety: Sunshine Blue, Blueberry Burst, Blueberry Kisses Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report 4 of 12 people found this review useful |
