How'd the Cherimoya do Aaron? I'm thinking of getting one and i think we're in the same climate?

It Doesn't like the frost, but its alive, and survived a full winter with no frost protection (first winter was wrapped in frost cloth) .

Cherimoya - Seedling (Seedling) 7/10

Fruitylicious1's Edible Fruits
Update: 2994 days 14hrs

Comments: -

Fruit of the gods. This must be the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden because human were forbidden to eat it. It is so delectable that the gods wanted to keep it for themselves. Not anymore fellow mortals. Cultivate it if you can to enjoy this sinfully delicious fruit.

Its odd, my cheri seedling is the less vigorous grower among my cherimoyas considering they are all in the same microclimate, potting mix, fertilizer, amount of water given and pot size. May be it will catch up next season. Or may be its a dud, whatever i will give it one or two more seasons before deciding on its fate.

Cherimoya - White (Grafted) 8/10

Fruitylicious1's Edible Fruits
Update: 2994 days 14hrs

Comments: -

There are conflicting reports about this cherimoya variety but majority of it are positive. What I think is, oftentimes the taste of the fruit and its overall performance will greatly depend upon its microclimate. The nearer we can simulate  its original habitat the greater the chance that it will reach its full potential. Add to that the general care given to the tree. Its the dominant commercial variety in the U.S. so a lot of people must have like it to become commercially viable for growers to produce. My white cheri will complement my recently acquired cheri sofia.

Thanks Mark. I'm waiting for Daley's and Perry's to come up with the goods. Or I might graft some to my seedling Cheri next spring. I'll just some good hearted donors.

This was a rather tall plant without any branches when purchased but I cut it right back to get some low branches. Got some flowers in spring, not going to hand pollinate though, just let it grow larger this year, growth has been steady so far, tree shape is now good with lots of branches and the main trunk has thickened substantially.
