Nashi Pear - Nijisseiki

$52.95 ($49.00-$52.95 choose a size)

A heavy bearing variety. Medium sized round fruit of excellent eating quality with crisp, white flesh and yellowish-green, transparent skin and moderate sugar content. Will set fruit without pollination however the fruit is smaller.

Jujube - Chico

$124.00 ($109.00-$139.00 choose a size)

Compact and bushy, perfect for pots with round fruit flattened on the bottom. Look similar to a small apple. Pick when the whole fruit (or at least 80%) has just turned brownish red. Texture is crisp and light we consider it an excellent fresh or dried variety. Fruit size 35-45mm. Developed at the Chico institute in California, this is an early fruiting variety. (Jan - March) Cross pollinate for best results.

Avocado - Reed (A)

$54.00 ($54.00-$79.00 choose a size)

Large, round , thick skinned variety with a smooth, green skin. They have a mild to rich flavour and have a good storing ability once cut and placed in the fridge. They are also a great choice for using in salads as they tend not to go mushy as does a Hass when very ripe. H Aug - Dec

Pecan - Shoshonii (B) SP

$39.00 ($29.00-$49.00 choose a size)

A precocious and heavy cropping variety in subtropical areas. Good quality medium to large oval nuts with a thin shell. A vigorous tree with an upright habit that makes an excellent backyard tree. Suited to high density plantings.

Dwarf Mulberry - Black

$19.75 ($19.75-$79.00 choose a size)

This mulberry has a very low chill factor making it ideal for our subtropical climate. Pruning after fruiting allows it to be kept under 3mtrs, and also encourages multiply cropping throughout the summer. It is best to pick the fruit when ripe, as it doesn't ripen further off the tree. A benefit of a mulberry tree is that the fruit ripens over an extended period of time unlike other fruit that often ripens all at once. The fruits of the black mulberry, considered the tastiest and most versatile of the mulberries are large and juicy with a good balance of sweetness and tartness. The fruit of the dwarf black mulberry is the same as that on the large black mulberry that we all know and love. The fruit is large, resembling a blackberry, sweet and luscious. When not devoured fresh it is ideal to use in jams, wines and mulberry pies. (Dwarf Mulberry Tree Video )This variety performs excellent in the Subtropics. There has been feedback that this variety doesn't perform as well in Temperate Climates.

H Jul - Dec This is a local selection with Hass and Sharwill as parents that was selected by Daleys and is proving an excellent backyard variety as well as being our nursery favourite.

Macadamia Pinkalicious TM

This one is going in the ground this week. It has a lot of new growth in the pot it came in. I have bought some native mix to add to the clay soil. Fingers crossed it will take off once in the ground.

Macadamia Pinkalicious TM

Great plant, has doubled in size already since planting. I have clay ground so I ensure the hole is big enough, and added compost, potting mix and gypsum before adding the plant and some of the clay soil back in at the top. I've mulched it and staked it. So much new growth!! It is watered daily to every second day by hose, in Ipswich where it doesn't rain that much
