Well just looked up the ugni Berry and found in brackets Tazziberry, which is what I started calling them when first getting people to grow them commercially. In Tasmania these bear fruit right through to May.fruit smells like pineapple fairyfloss.

The Dainty pale pink flowers have the most amazing scent....especially at night time....Lovely to put them near where you sit outside once the sun goes down.Plant them with some shelter from the afternoon sun.Delicious fruit,too - straight from the bush.

All 3 dried over a 2yr period. They were in full sun and it's very windy here. I would recommend a sheltered spot with afternoon shade in hot climates.
