Cherimoya - Forbidden Fruit variety (Grafted)

VF1's Edible Fruits
Update: 5127 days 24hrs

Comments: -

Cherimoya has to be one of the most delicious fruits I've eaten. It is slightly warmer where I live than its' preferred range (by a couple of degrees), but I'm still hopefull of some fruit.  This variety is a bonus as it self-pollinates.

Planted early May - will need some shelter from cold winter winds.

I would be glad just to have one of these growing at home. Even the Market charges $6.60 each. Maybe we can grow money-trees after all by getting one of these. Thank You Daleys! Just to think this one does well in Adelaide. That's the choice for me.

This was a rather tall plant without any branches when purchased but I cut it right back to get some low branches. Got some flowers in spring, not going to hand pollinate though, just let it grow larger this year, growth has been steady so far, tree shape is now good with lots of branches and the main trunk has thickened substantially.

Cherimoya - Seedling (Seedling) 7/10

Fruitylicious1's Edible Fruits
Update: 2999 days 8hrs

Comments: -

Fruit of the gods. This must be the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden because human were forbidden to eat it. It is so delectable that the gods wanted to keep it for themselves. Not anymore fellow mortals. Cultivate it if you can to enjoy this sinfully delicious fruit.

Its odd, my cheri seedling is the less vigorous grower among my cherimoyas considering they are all in the same microclimate, potting mix, fertilizer, amount of water given and pot size. May be it will catch up next season. Or may be its a dud, whatever i will give it one or two more seasons before deciding on its fate.
