So my mum bought this plant from a girlfriend who grow them. The friend takes cutting and nurse them to these 1.5m size plants. When I saw mum's plant, I made an offer for it! The fruit on this plant was larger than the size of my fist! The taste of these fruits are amazing. So sweet.

I was told to use sheep manure every spring and powerfeed every second week during spring. The plant was already pruned for me so I didn't have to worry about it for another year. It is now re-planted in a big 50L half wine barrow with lots of mulch and compost. I am seeing new growth now that the harsh winter weather is over.

Currently I have 2.  One is 1mtr high, which I bought at the market, not long ago.  Stil in it's pot awaiting planting.  The other is a seedling 40cm high, still in it's pot which I bought at a nursery two years ago.  I'm trying to shape it, so I pruned back hard last winter.

Pomegranate - Rosavaya (Seedling)

Cam's Edible Fruits
Update: 5632 days 8hrs

Comments: -

Rosavaya is a variety from Russia producing elongated fruits. Although the appearance of the fruit is not as attractive as its American (Wonderful) counterpart, they make it up for the taste.

The current size of the plant may be too small and fragile to be planted in the ground so I planted in a bigger pot until next Winter.

Planted in bigger pot in September 2010.

Height 30 Centimetres

Growing: In a Pot

Qty: 1

Pollination: Self Pollination
