Macadamia - Bush Nut (Seedling) 10/10 Edward3's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2293 days 15hrs Comments: - Produces good crop of nuts each year. Handsome tree with beautiful pink flower racemes. Top pruned the tree to half size so as to be able to reach nuts. This resulted in a much denser lower tree. Fruiting Months April Planted: 2004 Height 5 metres Growing: In the Ground Fruit Harvest: 100 Fruit Per Year First Fruited: 4 Years from Seed Sun/Shade: Full Sun Pollination: Self Pollination When I Fertilise: Never Pest Control: Main problem are Rozellas and cockatoos - when young nuts are forming, they destroy every single one of the large crop of nuts. Must put netting over nuts within reach so as to save some of the crop. Some nuts affected by macadamia nut borer. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report 7 of 8 people found this review useful |

Dwarf Macadamia - A16 (Cutting) 5/10 Health101orgarticles1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2335 days 15hrs Comments: - If against a driveway, eg against a car's paint, and passengers skin, it has too sharp leaves, at least if not pruned enough. Planted: 2007 Height 5 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Full Sun Water Given in: Summer After FruitingPollination: Cross Pollination Cross Pollinator Variety: A4 When I Fertilise: Never Pest Control: Rat bait and traps. Dwarf Macadamia (Seedling) Amanda's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2561 days 9hrs Comments: - The "Lotsa Nuts" plants. Doing well here - need some pushing along with plenty of water and feeding. They need the alkalinity managed also - but may actually be displaying "delayed greening" with new growth I suspect? (not uncommon with our Aust. natives) Planted: 2017 Height 1.7 metres Growing: In the Ground Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Water Given in: Spring SpringPollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Balanced Acid Lovers alternating with slow release organic chook manure pellets.
