Peach

Kazj's Edible Fruits
Update: 6156 days 21hrs

Comments: -

It didn't actually die we pulled it out. It had beautiful fruit but full of fruit fly. It's a hassle to control so I thought we stick with fruit trees that are not affected. Would be interested to know how others in the Illawarra may have addressed this problem with some success.

peach 3/10

Kate3's Edible Fruits
Update: 6014 days 7hrs

Comments: - 1 x Pixzee, 1 x unknown mature tree

Height 30 Centimetres

Growing: In a Pot

Sun/Shade: Full Sun

Water Given in: Summer and Spring

Pollination: Self Pollination

Pest Control: Leaf curl on the Pixzee, birds and fruit bats on the mature tree, but I can only use Bordeaux on the former and netting or bags for the latter. The potted tree gets food and water, the mature tree is in the ground and gets nothing except some stray rabbit

Peach - Can\'t remember (Grafted) 10/10

Nathan1's Edible Fruits
Update: 4893 days 4hrs

UPDATE: 2012: 2 seasons of plentiful fruit, quite early, starts flowering mid-july! Fruit edible in Nov. Starting to espalier around pond, and over fence for neighbours :)

Growing really well. Had a few bits of fruit on it straight from the nursery, and actually tasted quite good. Looking forward to grafting all sorts of bizarreness (almond etc) onto it at some point :)

It gets a bit neglected up there, but still going quite well. Is simply called "Tropical Peach"

Flowered and fruited first year but didn't this year - I think I pruned it at the wrong time and it may have got cankers.  Has got leaves now though. 2009

September 2010 - flowering and new leaves coming through

Got one peach that was quite delicious.  Seems to have a lot of sap come out of it though??

Full of fruits so you must pick off and keep only a few. The remaining peaches don's seem to grow much bigger than a large golf ball. Could it be due to the small pot size ?
