Peanut Butter Tree (Seedling)![]() Update: 1400 days 10hrs Comments: - Plant arrived in Feb 2020 in great condition with soil still damp. Will plant this into a pot after 1-2 weeks outside and provide updates. May 2020 - Has been growing slowly, but consistently, since potting. We will see how it copes with winter in Toowoomba - may have to bring it inside on cool nights. September 2021 - Grew well (albeit relatively slowly in a 30cm pot) until winter. Survived outside, now in 25L pot, through Toowoomba winter - however looking poorly & lost ~75% of leaves. Now has new growth buds - looking hopeful. Macadamia - Bush Nut (Seedling) 10/10![]() Update: 1989 days 13hrs Comments: - Produces good crop of nuts each year. Handsome tree with beautiful pink flower racemes. Top pruned the tree to half size so as to be able to reach nuts. This resulted in a much denser lower tree. Fruiting Months April Planted: 2004 Height 5 metres Growing: In the Ground Fruit Harvest: 100 Fruit Per Year First Fruited: 4 Years from Seed Sun/Shade: Full Sun Pollination: Self Pollination When I Fertilise: Never Pest Control: Main problem are Rozellas and cockatoos - when young nuts are forming, they destroy every single one of the large crop of nuts. Must put netting over nuts within reach so as to save some of the crop. Some nuts affected by macadamia nut borer. Was this review helpful?
