Avocado - Rincon (Grafted)VF1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4256 days 20hrs Comments: - Love all avo's. Is one of my "A" varieties. Is a dwarf variety with a spreading habit, and much slower grower than my others. The tree's not attractive - very gangly looking. Fruit written off by some, but my family found it nice tasting - very creamy/buttery and mild flavour (maybe only has nice fruit where it's not too hot/humid or too cold). Fruit not a good storer once cut though, as the invisible strings darken. Best eaten within 24-48hrs. Don't discount this one for the backyard if you have limited space. Note: Fruit ripe now (April-May) when there is none at any road-side stalls (Tamborine Mt.), so I'm happy! Fruiting Months March, April, May, June Planted: 2010 Height 1.3 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 First Fruited: 2 Years from purchase in pot Sun/Shade: Full Sun Water Given in: Autumn Pollination: Cross Pollination Cross Pollinator Variety: Sheppard Fertiliser or Organics Used: Manure and Citrus fertiliser When I Fertilise: Spring Pest Control: None yet, but I may net next crop as something (possum/bushrats?) pulled off/damaged most of crop. Only 2 fruit survived. Question: When is it best to prune,as I'd like to attempt to shape tree? Was this review helpful? Avocado EttingerScottyg's Edible FruitsUpdate: 5192 days 13hrs Comments: - This is apparently an Israeli cultivar. Fruit is thin skinned and a bit rubbery. Taste is OK but is ideal for use in avocado dip. Our soil is not the best for avos but this one has survived were others have died. Cherimoya - Forbidden Fruit variety (Grafted)VF1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4400 days 6hrs Comments: - Cherimoya has to be one of the most delicious fruits I've eaten. It is slightly warmer where I live than its' preferred range (by a couple of degrees), but I'm still hopefull of some fruit. This variety is a bonus as it self-pollinates. Planted early May - will need some shelter from cold winter winds. Planted: 2012 Height 1 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Pollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Seasol and citrus feed Was this review helpful? custard apple (Grafted)Sheree's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4994 days 17hrs Comments: - Not sure what root stock this is on but it was marketed as a cold tolerant variety. Hasn't seen any damage as yet and is a fairly slow grower. I think it needs to move from where it is though. In hind sight it's going to need more room and it definetly needs to be out of reach of the passionfruit vine! - so I translanted this one to a roomier position and then got a nasty frost. It does not look happy at all! But it's still hanging in there. Compost and worm juice and we'll see what happens Planted: 2009 Height 1.5 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Water Given in: Spring Pollination: Cross Pollination Was this review helpful? Custard Apple - \'Paxton\'s Prolific\' (cv. KJ Pink\'s) (Grafted) 10/10BJ's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4536 days 9hrs Comments: - Budsport of Pink's Mammoth, so same type of fruit, just self-pollinates much better. In its first season it had many flowers and set two fruits while still in its 6l bag, which I had to knock off so it didnt get too stressed at this size. Going into the ground when dormant in winter. ----- 2011 - has set fruit already. Nice growth rate and easily managed. Brilliant! Custard Apple -KJ Pinks (Grafted)VF1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 4337 days 14hrs Comments: - Bought as I love the fruit, but wanted an easy care variety ie. no hand pollination required, and smaller tree. Should taste good as is a bud sport of "Pinks Mammoth", a tasty fruit. Plant very eager to set fruit (set a couple when still in pot, and again when planted out early this year - I removed, as plant too immature and shapeless yet.) Looking forward to great fruit. Height 1.3 metres Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Full Sun Water Given in: Summer Pollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Citrus feed and Seasol When I Fertilise: Spring Pest Control: Tree small enough for me to manually remove the odd scale insect, but may have to use white oil spray as tree grows. Nil other problems yet. Question:

Custard apple Pink Mammoth (Grafted) 9/10Scottyg's Edible FruitsUpdate: 5192 days 14hrs Comments: - Plant is fruiting well now, have planted others to get better pollination. It seem to take a few years to really anchor itself in the ground. Pruned heavily at first to obtain wine glass structure now only prune to tidy up.
