I am happy to pay for them and perhaps go for a drive down to the South Coast one weekend to collectChad1 says... [684 days 14hrs ago] Sorry I just saw your comment. If you still need some let me know and forget about payingStephen9 says... [525 days 18hrs ago] Hi Chad1, sorry I don't use this Daley forum website often and just came across your response. Thanks mate for the offer, but it is not urgent and I will try to source some other varieties white sapote scions to graft onto my seedling tree project sometime in the near future. Same, we are based in the same state NSW and so if you are after a particular scion(s) I may have spare, let me know and I can try to assist* You need your own My Edibles Page to contribute Quick & Easy |
White Sapote - Pike (Grafted) 10/10Health101orgarticles1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 718 days 5hrs Comments: - This must be the best fruit for taste and climate range and low fruit fly problem for some unknown reason. Good near a public area because its skin stays green when ripe, and so does not attract as much attention from people who don't know the fruit. Fruiting Months January, February, March, December Planted: 2003 Growing: In the Ground Qty: 1 Fruit Harvest: 20 kilograms per Year First Fruited: 4 Years from purchase in pot Sun/Shade: Full Sun Water Given in: Autumn SummerPollination: No Pest Control: Sulfur crested cockatoos are a big problem many years after planting, they just practice their bite and drop the fruit uneaten but bitten. Bats eventually find the fruit tree years after planting. Then they harvest every year. Organic Status:Organic Question: Why a very low fruit fly problem? Was this review helpful? White Sapote - Lemon Gold (Grafted) 8/10Amanda's Edible FruitsUpdate: 1808 days 19hrs Comments: - Scary tree because it wants to grow into a giant here. That's interesting because it behaved totally differently 700km north of here. Doesn't have any leaf drop here either. Wishing I had planted it somewhere else now, and had to cut down the second tree next to it because they were taking over. The roots are invasive so don't plant near pipes, walls etc... Sun/Shade: Medium Sun Pollination: Self Pollination Fertiliser or Organics Used: Any balanced fruit tree fertiliser I have around. Was this review helpful?
