Always loved raspberries but found them difficult to grow in this climate. Since purchasing Heritage variety from Daleys and establsihing them in pots, I've harvested almost a kilo in the first year. The added bonus of a 2nd fruiting in Autumn is a great feature.

Non needed so far, also the birds and possums etc. seem to leave them alone...so far anyway!

Has improved slightly from when I first bought it but still very strange growth. This is a 'wait and see'

putting on healthy leaves now spring 2012 pest two spotted mite, sprayed with white oil mixed with malathion which seemed to work. Can't use wettable sulphur on raspberries I believe unfortunately. Then the white fly attacked. - Confidor.

Don't plant directly into ground unless you have a root barrier. I made this mistake and the canes have popped up in a large area now.
