It's either the Mandarin or the Orange. One of them got lost during the drought and the tags fell off ages ago so we can't remember which one... It's covered in fruit, though, so not too long of a wait.

Dwarf Mandarin (Grafted) 2/10

Paulngen's Edible Fruits
Update: 6143 days 17hrs

Comments: -

2nd year in pot. Re-potted this year as plant does not seem to be growing much - upwards a little but not spreading. However, roots are still shallow so does not appear to be pot-bound. Some flowers last year, no fruit. Leaf-miner seems to be a problem as all young leaves are affected and turn curly. I have been cutting them off - probably explains why the plant is not growing :-). This year I have decided to spray eco-oil at every single leaf bud that I see.

Planted: 2007

Height 1.2 metres

Qty: 1

Sun/Shade: Full Sun

Fertiliser or Organics Used: citrus food, slow-realease for pots

When I Fertilise: Spring

Pest Control:

Leaf miner a problem (see above). Also little caterpillars - controlled by squashing method as often as I see them.

do you have any updates on this tree? How tall did it grow? how much fruit per year? Thank you for your time.

Dwarf Mandarin - Emperor (Grafted) 8/10

Tessa's Edible Fruits
Update: 4321 days 5hrs

Comments: - Very nice looking tree, took of the first set of fruit to help it gain some strength, it has now just sprouted a heap of new buds that look like flowers and a few leaves so I will hopefully have fruit of it this year.  Easy to care for, growing in a large 70cm pot that I dress with some well rotted manure about 3 times per year.

I think this is the one I have, Anyway it is a mandarine grafted onto dwarf rootstock.  Heavy fruiting this season and last hoping this years will actually mature as last year (08) all fruit got blasted from the tree due to storms. easy to grow, fertilize and prune like all the rest.
