Because it is meant to cross pollinate my Pinkabelle so it's gotta be good! :)
Not doing anything I have to say...had one blossom then nothing. Hmmm..maybe things will liven up next year? Can only hope! Maybe I bought it a bit late in the year?

Dwarf Apple - Tropic Sweet (Grafted) 9/10

Dave's City Garden's Edible Fruits
Update: 214 days 11hrs

Comments: -

I am espaliering this tree with 2 other apples- Anna And Golden Dorset in a candelabra shape. This is the first year fruiting - I've had about 10 small apples, very sweet and crisp but don't seem to keep well in the fridge- they become floury.  Fruit fly has been an issue so I will need to take treatment next year.   Spring 2011 - this year more fruit set on all 3 apples. I have thinned some. Growth has reached to top of the fence so will prune in mid summer to reduce growth.

How many plants are required to get fruit? Thanks

2 they need a cross pollinator so you must ensure you have the right variety to cross pollinate.

Minky's Edible Fruits
Update: 360 days 24hrs

has flowered each year but pinkabelle I had died during winter so granny did not have a pollinator.  A new apple tree has sprung up where the pinkabelle was - hopefully another pinkabelle but did not flower this year (it's first year), but for some reason the granny smith did and some flowers have turned into fruit???  A neighbour must have a pollinator for it?? Fruit ended up falling off ):

Just repotted into a larger pot and straightened it up, have a good feeling about this year.

Flowered beautifully but not one translated into a fruit.  Seems my pinkabelle and granny smith don't like to flower at the same time even though they should.
