Muscadine Grapes

Muscadine NobleAn American species of grape that is well adapted to the hot and humid climate of southern American where the vines thrive on summer heat.  The fruits of the muscadine range from being green, bronze, purple and black when fully ripe depending on the variety, they are eaten fresh, made in wine, juice and jellies.  The fruits do not hang in large bunches like European grapes but instead they hang on the vine in loose clusters.  Muscadine grapes are less cold tolerant that European grapes making them perfectly suited to regions north of Sydney through to the tropics.  As with all grapes the muscadines will require perfect drainage and a trellis support to grow upon.  We have five different selections of muscadine grape to choose from; Noble, Dixie, Fry, Adonis and Achilles.

Ben Hur Pomegranate

My pomegranate is one of my most favourite trees in my orchard, it is a gorgeous shrub that deserves a place in any ornamental garden with stunning bright red flowers, a fiery flush of new growth in the spring as well it produces delicious fruits that are both challenging and interesting to use in the kitchen.  Pomegranates are Pomegrante Dressinghardy, tough and useful, they are everything I could wish for in a fruit tree. The Ben Hur is a particularly exciting new release due to the impressive size of the fruit which can weigh in at 1.5kg. The fruits are very sweet and juicy making them the perfect choice for your kitchen garden. The Ben Hur is well suited to a range of climates from the tropics to temperate regions and like all pomegranates the Ben Hur is also perfect for growing in large pots.
