Guava - Strawberry 8/10

Minky's Edible Fruits
Update: 360 days 24hrs

Comments: -

In pot about to be put in ground.  Since putting in ground in Nov 09 has flourished, starting to flower but hit and miss with pollination. Lots of new growth and flower buds February 10.

Been in ground for 10 months, very happy, abundance  of new growth and lots of flower buds - just ate a guava - flavour great, shame about those tooth breaking seeds.  Plant is wider than it is in height.

Is quite a good tree that produces hugh amount of fruit, again shame about those seeds - might have to try juicing them.

I love this fruit! It can be eaten straight from the tree, and also used for cooking. I got this plant from my dad, it's growing so good, summer and spring really allowed it to burst with new growth. I'm hoping to get my first crop in as early as 2 years. Can't wait!

Have a read of this webpage http://www.bioresources.com.au/MacTrix/fruitspottingbug.html. The person who does this research lives a few rural blocks away from me. I am sure that there will be similar insects in Wollongong.

Didn't grow very well. Started growing twice and stopped for some reason. Currently lost all leaves due to frost. Waiting for spring to see if the plant has survived.

Lost all leaves again this winter due to frost. Was growing well before that. Showing some signs of life as spring approches.
