A cold-hardy variety I thought I would give a try.  I haven't yet tasted these, but they sound interesting.  The fruit seems decorative too, when hanging on the tree.

Nice looking tree and fruit is fantastic in a smoothie!

Dumps almost all leaves in spring and looks sickly, but explodes into life around 2 weeks later. Has flowered spring 2011 but still a bit too young to set fruit.
